Grief in Young Adults

Calm Waters offers a Grief Support Group for young adults, ages 19 to 25, who are not parents.  There are few resources for this age group when it comes to dealing with grief and loss issues such as death.  Calm Waters is dedicated to helping this population.

Young adults who are not parents, but who have been affected by death are invited to join the Young Adult Grief Group. In this safe environment, participants will be guided through a curriculum filled with discussions and activities aimed at developing healthy coping skills. These skills will serve participants throughout life.

Support Group Schedule

Groups meet two Mondays each month from 6:30-7:30 pm and are in an ongoing format,  meaning you can attend for as long as you feel the need. (We recommend you attend at least eight times.)

Calm Waters is currently taking registrations.

Complete the registration form & return it to Calm Waters.

Once your registration has been received, a Calm Waters staff member will contact you to schedule an intake appointment prior to the beginning of groups.  The intake appointment determines group readiness and is required for all who want to attend Calm Waters groups.

Download the printable registration -  Young Adult Grief Group Registration Form and mail or fax back to Calm Waters. Questions or inquiries can be directed to Program Director Maribeth Govin.
